An engaging and entertaining lecture was given by Air Marshall Sir Peter Ruddock at Metheringham Airfield Visitor Centre yesterday. The evening was hosted by the Friends of Metheringham Airfield (FOMA) as the penultimate aviation themed lecture of the 2019 season. These lectures are free for members.
The audience found it very interesting, enlightening and occasionally amusing as Sir Peter shared stories from his RAF career in the first half of the evening and then from his role as Chief Executive of Lockheed Martin in the second half.
All proceeds of the evening’s raffle and book sale will be put towards our Dakota Building project. We need at least £20,000 to enable us to complete phase two of this exciting project which will allow us to protect this valuable aircraft from the elements in years to come. If you can help, please see our donations page on the website for ways to donate, or join as a member. If you are interested in sponsoring an element of this build please contact us.
